Job Summary:
This position is for a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Technologist in Springfield, Illinois, at an acute care hospital functioning as a Level I trauma center. The role involves supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures within the catheterization lab environment. Candidates are required to bring their licensure on the first day.
Job Details:

- Position: Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist
- Shift: 4x12-hour shifts or 3x12-hour days (0630-1900)
- Schedule: 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Illinois license; certifications in American Council of Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and Registration in Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS); minimum 1 year of specialized experience in cardiac catheterization lab procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterizations in adult patients, familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Cerner.
- Additional Information: Must have experience with cardiac implant closure devices, cardiac stent placement, and various catheterization procedures. Skills include equipment setup, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, sterile technique, and infection control practices such as isolation precautions. Candidates should be comfortable working within the scope of practice for adult and geriatric patients. Floating within scope is not required.
- Submission requirements: Provide 2-3 interview availability options; include SSN and date of birth at submission. Flu vaccination is required.
- The candidate must have an active IL license, and RTO requests should ideally not exceed 5 days, with a start date of 07/20/2026.
