Crosby-Ironton Schools has an opening for a full-time Technology Director. This position will oversee the planning, implementation and management of the district's technology systems to support teaching, learning and administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a long-term technology plan aligned with district goals
- Manage IT infrastructure: networks, devices, cybersecurity, and data systems
- Oversee student and staff technology use (devices, learning platforms, software)
- Lead technology integration in classrooms to support instruction
- Supervise IT staff and coordinate with vendors/service providers
- Ensure data privacy compliance (e.g., FERPA) and system security
- Manage the technology budget, including E-Rate funding and purchasing
- Provide training and support for teachers and staff
- Maintain disaster recovery and continuity plans
Bachelor’s degree or higher, with two years computer related experience and computer systems/applications competencies preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills. Experience in IT leadership, preferably in K-12 education.
