What are the responsibilities and job description for the CROS Ministries - Bagging/Sorting Food position at CROS Ministries?
In 1978, a group of United Methodist Churches joined forces to create Christians Reaching Out to Society, Inc. or as we are known today, CROS Ministries. Over time, we evolved to become both ecumenical and interfaith, forging partnerships with various communities, schools, businesses, civic groups, government entities, and local nonprofits. Today we stand as a beacon of hope, tirelessly working on the front lines to directly benefit our brothers and sisters facing food insecurity.
Our services include distributing food from six brick and mortar food pantries in Delray Beach, Jupiter, Lake Worth Beach, West Palm Beach, Belle Glade, and Indiantown in Martin County and a mobile "pop-up" food pantry serving Greenacres, Haverhill, Riviera Beach, and Wellington; serving hot meals and delivering homebound meals to residents in Delray Beach through our Caring Kitchen program; and recovering fresh fruits and vegetables from local fields that are distributed with the help of community partners to local pantries and meal programs through our Gleaning program.
