About Cronin Construction LLC
Cronin Construction LLC is a national commercial construction company headquartered in Texas. We specialize in building and delivering high-quality commercial projects across multiple states. Our work includes U-Haul centers, ABC Supply and L&W Supply centers, as well as small-, mid-size-, and large-scale commercial construction projects (new construction and renovations).
We are a lean, hands-on company with a small office team. We value hard work, accountability, clear communication, and people who take ownership of the job site.
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Crew Lead to take charge of our main construction crew. This is a working lead role — you will lead the crew while also performing hands-on construction work every day.
This is not a pure supervisory position. We need someone who sets the pace by working alongside the crew, trains new employees when needed, and can fully own the job site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the main construction crew
- Handle the social dynamics of running a crew while maintaining a productive, professional job site
- Serve as the face of the job — communicate professionally with clients and represent the company
- Take full ownership of the project: control the men, control the job site, and keep the schedule on track
- Manage materials, maintain accurate receipts, track crew time sheets, and support payroll processes
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with the office
- Perform hands-on work in framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, painting (including spray rig), some roofing, and finish work (cabinetry, cove base, windows/doors, hardware)
- Train and mentor newer crew members as needed
- Travel to job sites in multiple states as required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a crew lead or in a similar management/leadership role on commercial construction crews
- Strong hands-on skills in framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, painting (spray experience preferred), some roofing, and finish carpentry/work
- Ability to take complete ownership of a job site and keep projects on schedule
- Excellent English communication skills (required for client interaction and office coordination)
- Willingness and ability to travel for work
- Strong work ethic — this is a working lead position
- Ability to manage people, materials, paperwork (receipts, time sheets), and job-site logistics
Preferred (not required): Spanish-speaking ability
What We Offer
- Competitive pay based on experience
- Opportunity to grow with a company that is expanding
- Steady commercial work across multiple states
