CNC Machine Operator

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC equipment to produce high-quality precision parts. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Day and night shift available.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes)


• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions


• Load raw materials and monitor machine performance


• Adjust machine settings to ensure accuracy and efficiency


• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools


• Identify and troubleshoot minor machine issues


• Perform routine maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition


• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area


• Follow all company safety and quality standards

Shift & Schedule:

• 
  

  Shift: 4, 10-hour shifts, Monday-Thursday, 2:15 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.

  
  


• Special: No weekend work required; overtime available as needed

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma/GED 


• One or more years of CNC machine experience in a manufacturing or production environment


• One or more years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and/or manufacturing specifications


• Oen or more years of experience using precision measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers, to verify dimensions and tolerances


• Basic computer and math skills


• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities


• Interested and available to work second shift (4, 10-hour shifts, Monday-Thursday, 2:15 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.)

Preferred 

• Technical diploma, certificate, or vocational training in CNC machining or manufacturing


• Experience making tool offsets and basic machine adjustments


• Working knowledge of G-code and basic CNC program edits


• Experience performing inspections and documenting quality results

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing/shop setting. Employees may be exposed to machinery, noise, and production materials. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and will be provided.
