What are the responsibilities and job description for the (QHSE) Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment Inspector position at Croft Production Systems, Inc.?
Job Summary:
The QHSE Inspector will implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. This position will also conduct Quality Control tests. We’re looking for a highly organized, methodical professional with the experience necessary to take our products to the next level in terms of safety, security, and accuracy. A proven track record of experience is essential.
Job Functions:
Quality Control:
- Will Conduct Quality Control Checks throughout the manufacturing process inspecting, testing, or measuring materials or products being produced.
- Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work; confirming re-work
- Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
- Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products.
- Report inspection and test data.
- Create an effective/efficient testing protocol to be used across all product lines
- Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate (and correct) issues and complaints relating to quality.
- Inspect and test activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
- Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
- Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
- Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
- Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
- Maintain active role on internal continuous improvement teams.
- Design, develop and implement quality control training programs.
Safety:
- Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
- Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
- Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
- Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
- Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
- Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field preferred. Experience can substitute degree on a 1:1 basis.
License:
none initially, however successful passing of safety and certification training will be required throughout employment with CROFT.
Industry certification desired
Experience:
5 years of Quality Control or Safety experience
