(QHSE) Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment Inspector

Job Summary:

The QHSE Inspector will implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.  This position will also conduct Quality Control tests. We’re looking for a highly organized, methodical professional with the experience necessary to take our products to the next level in terms of safety, security, and accuracy. A proven track record of experience is essential.

Job Functions:

Quality Control:

• Will Conduct Quality Control Checks throughout the manufacturing process inspecting, testing, or measuring materials or products being produced.
• Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work; confirming re-work
• Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
• Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products.
• Report inspection and test data. 
• Create an effective/efficient testing protocol to be used across all product lines
• Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate (and correct) issues and complaints relating to quality.
• Inspect and test activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
• Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
• Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
• Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
• Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
  
• Maintain active role on internal continuous improvement teams.
• Design, develop and implement quality control training programs.

Safety:

• Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
• Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
• Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
• Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
  
• Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
• Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.

Education:

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field preferred. Experience can substitute degree on a 1:1 basis.

License:

• 
  none initially, however successful passing of safety and certification training will be required throughout employment with CROFT.
• 
  Industry certification desired
