What are the responsibilities and job description for the Detainee Intake Administrator position at Critical Response Strategies?
Location: Remote Swamp Based Facility, Florida
Deployment: 8 Weeks Onsite | 12- hour shift | 2 Weeks Off
We are staffing a secure detention facility in South Florida. We’re looking for Detainee Intake Admins ready to deploy and operate in a structured, high-security environment.
This is a boots-on-the-ground mission, not a desk job and you’ll be part of a rotational deployment. If you’re disciplined, reliable, and want to make a difference, we want you.
Your Mission
- Coordinate and process the intake of all inmates, including documentation, searches, medical screening coordination, and property inventory.
- Review and verify legal documentation (warrants, court orders, transfer papers) to ensure proper intake procedures are followed.
- Enter and update inmate data in secure facility databases and maintain accurate intake logs and records.
- Conduct and record initial classification assessments and coordinate appropriate housing placements.
- Communicate with arresting agencies, legal representatives, and internal staff regarding inmate status and documentation needs.
- Ensure the intake area remains secure, clean, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain chain of custody procedures for inmate property and personal effects.
- Support emergency response procedures and report incidents as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Corrections, or related field preferred.
- Familiarity with detention facility operations, inmate management systems, and intake procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, and compliance.
- Ability to manage stressful and high-pressure situations with professionalism and control.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and security clearance.
Job Types: Contract, Temporary
Pay: $20/hr
Shift availability: This position will work 12-hour shifts, 7 days a week for the duration of the deployment, totaling 84 hours per week.
