EHS Manager

EHS Manager - St. Louis, MO Area

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Own the site EHS strategy, policies, and annual improvement plan.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, DoD safety, and relevant state environmental requirements.
• Lead hazard identification, risk assessments, PHAs, and incident investigations; drive CAPAS and system improvements.
• Oversee energetic materials and explosives safety management.
• Manage environmental programs (air, wastewater, hazardous waste SPCC, SWPPP reporting).
• Develop and deliver EHS training across all levels.
• Lead site audits (internal, customer, regulatory) and ensure closure of findings.
• Serve as primary liaison to regulators, customers, and third-party auditors on EHS topics.

BACKGROUND PROFILE:

• Bachelor’s in EHS, Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline.
• 7 years’ EHS experience in manufacturing; chemicals, defense, or high-hazard operations preferred.
• Working knowledge of OSHA 1910, RCRA, DOT/PHMSA, and permit-driven programs.
• Experience with explosives safety programs (ATF, DoD, or DDESB) strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build or upgrade EHS systems and training frameworks.
• Professional certification (CSP, CIH, CHMM) a plus.
