Overview
The HR Manager works closely with the Director of Finance and senior management to manage the complete Human Resource process from recruitment through retention to resignations and terminations. In this role, the Human Resources Coordinator will assist in the implementation of the policies and procedures established by Cristo Rey Miami High School to ensure legal compliance, adoption of best practices, and implementation of the organization's mission and talent strategy.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the administration of human resource programs, including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with ADP for HR-related matters and communications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee information in ADP, including new hires, employment changes, terminations, compensation, and other personnel updates.
- Administer and monitor HR processes within ADP, including onboarding, time and attendance, benefits, leave administration, and required employee documentation.
- Maintain employee files and assure they are up to date
- Create reports on employee information requested by management
- Organize events and recognition to maintain employee morale, retention, and engagement
- Prepare payroll biweekly for approval by Director of Finance
- Coordinate with the Director of Operations and Finance on all matters related to compensation, payroll changes and benefits Talent Acquisition and Onboarding
- Post available positions on relevant career and industry specific sites
- Assist with reviewing candidates and scheduling interviews
- Prepare offer letters and manage the offer process
- Onboard new employees
- Assure drug tests, background checks, and fingerprinting are completed on all new candidates
- Assist employees to complete required trainings and certifications
- Assist employees in accurately completing required fon11s, such as I-9's, W-4's, etc.
- Assist leadership and employees by researching developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines
- Assist with Aligning Job Descriptions
- Assist with resolving employee relations issues while protecting the school from risk associated with litigation
- Assist with sensitive investigations into violations of company policies
- Assist with discipline and termination of employees in accordance with best practice and company policy.
- Monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommends best practices reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Other projects as needed

- Experience in managing educational or healthcare institutions or similar sectors.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, accreditation standards, and compliance requirements for higher education institutions.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English)
Qualifications
- Bachelors in Business, Human Resources, or related fields.
- At least 2 years of experience in Human Resources Administration
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills, and organizational and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and G Suite
- Familiarity with ADP Total Source
Pay: $57,000.00 per year
