Position Title: Secretary/Clerk - Army JROTC Program
Reports To: Commanding Officer
Primary Function:
Assures the smooth and efficient operation of the assigned office in a friendly and professional manner. Receives the public, operates the telephone system, serves as a key communicator and coordinator relating to essential operation of the office. Performs other clerical duties as needed.
Requirements:
Educational Level: High School Diploma or equivalent. Formal training in office practices and experience preferred.
Proficiency Skills: Written and oral communication skills, ability to operate office machinery and deal with multiple tasks, computer competence, typing and proof reading skills.
Personal Skills: Pleasant personality, cooperative attitude, physical skills and stamina to perform essential duties.
Salary: CCSS Classified Salary Schedule – A08, 210 days (Start pay band $15.00. Steps on the classified salary schedule are awarded based on verifiable full-time experience, as documented on employer letterhead, which includes dates of employment, job title, and duties. GENERAL

26.Maintains the JROTC Property Book: Responsible for identifying, acquiring, accounting, controlling, storing and properly disposing of material authorized to conduct the mission of the JROTC program.
27.Coordinates with military installations/personnel to ensure logistical/administrative requirements are met and conducted in a smooth an efficient manner.
28.Maintains the JROTC budget and reports the status of all monies to SAI on a monthly basis or as requested.
29.Maintains cadet files and records.
30.Assists in developing standard operating procedures essential to the smooth operation of the unit.
31.Assists in preparing reports on the unit status and operations to the principal.
32.Assists in the preparation of formal and informal inspections conducted by army personnel.
33.Assists in keeping all publications, regulations and text materials current in sufficient quantity to conduct the JROTC program.
34.Assists in the preparation and modification of all JROTC handbooks, policies and procedure manuals developed by the JROTC faculty.
35.Assists in the supervision of student cadets as they perform their staff duties as logistical and administrative officers and non-commission officers of the JROTC battalion.
36.Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
