Position Title: Paraprofessional
Reports To: Principal
Primary Function:
Assist Lead Teacher in engaging learning activities for 4-5 year old as directed and monitored by Bright From the Start for lottery funded Pre-K program
Requirements:
Educational Level: Appropriate 2 yr. degree (60 semester hours) or posting a passing score on the Paraprofessional Licensing Test and minimum of GED. For information on how to take the Paraprofessional GACE, please visit https://www.gace.es.pearson.com/
Certification/Licensing: Paraprofessional (we will request this certificate after the PSC has received your official transcripts OR Para passing score.
Personal Skills: Pleasant personality, cooperative attitude, physical skills, and stamina to perform essential duties.
Salary: Approved 2026-2027 BFTS (the 25-26 BFTS salary is $25,741.35 for 190 work days.

19.Locates, procures, operates and returns needed equipment.
20.Assists in routine classroom housekeeping responsibilities.
21.Assists in ordering/inventorying classroom equipment, materials and supplies.
22.Demonstrates loyalty to the school, school system and administrators.
23.Enhances the climate of the building and the morale of colleagues.
24.Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
25.Follows and adheres to standard school operational procedures, school routines, and administrative expectations established for the school year to support the safe and efficient operation of the school.
26.Complies with school-wide procedures, student supervision expectations, and operational directives as assigned by administration.
