The Crisis Center is currently looking for a caring and detail-oriented Part-Time Therapist to join our Residential Programs team. These programs offer trauma-informed care and well-rounded support for children who need both emergency and long-term residential services.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Design meaningful treatment plans with clear, achievable goals — and play a key role in clinical assessments, behavior strategies, and discharge planning.
- Respect privacy always by following legal, ethical, and agency guidelines for confidentiality.
- Team up with caseworkers, guardians, and other professionals to provide the best care possible — including attending court hearings or off-site meetings when needed.
- Stay connected and informed through team meetings, psychiatric consults, and essential trainings like CPR, CPI, and other certifications.
- Communicate with heart and clarity — bringing solid clinical judgment and building trust while keeping healthy, professional boundaries.
- Be flexible and ready to support clients when they need it most — including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts, depending on program needs.
Clinician Expectations:
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy to children and adolescents (ages 10–20) using trauma-informed care principles and evidence-based practices.
- Complete all clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner, including progress notes, psychosocial assessments, behavioral and safety plans, monthly reports, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Maintain active professional licensure and fulfill all continuing education requirements in accordance with state and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field is required.
- Active Indiana licensure as an LSW, LMHC, or LCSW is required.
- Valid driver’s license and eligibility to operate agency vehicles, with no moving violations within the past five years.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, adhering to legal regulations, ethical standards, and client-centered practices.
- Preferred experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trauma-informed care approaches.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, with strong focus, initiative, and self-motivation.
- Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and personal well-being to support healthy, sustainable practice.
- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed by the agency.
- Preferred background includes providing therapeutic services in residential or group home settings.
- Minimum of three years’ experience working with children and adolescents in a therapeutic or clinical capacity.
