Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the friendly face of our store, providing exceptional customer service while assisting shoppers with their needs. Your enthusiasm and knowledge will help create a welcoming atmosphere, promote our products, and ensure a smooth shopping experience for all customers.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products related to lawn care, gardening, floral design, and landscape maintenance
- Provide expert advice on plant identification, horticulture techniques, and outdoor work practices
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for sales transactions and cash handling
- Restock shelves, merchandise displays, and organize inventory to maintain an attractive store environment
- Support customers via phone communication by answering questions about products or services
- Assist with merchandising efforts and store organization to enhance product visibility and appeal
- Maintain knowledge of e-commerce platforms to support online orders and inquiries
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in outdoor work, gardening, or horticulture fields
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Passion for gardening, floral design, landscape maintenance or lawn care
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking and merchandising tasks
- Ability to work outdoors when necessary and handle physical aspects of outdoor work experience
- Customer service-oriented mindset with friendly, proactive attitude
