CRi, the region's premier clinical services provider for people with mental health needs and developmental disabilities, is seeking Tenant Support Specialists.
The Tenant Support Specialist is responsible for direct services and supports provided to individuals who have leases within the Wesley Housing designated PSH units. The Tenant Support Specialist implements the service plan with the individual through on site apartment support, community engagement and support, and independent living skill development aimed at maintaining apartments, good tenant relations and overall good neighbor relations. The Tenant Support Specialist ensures awareness of individuals' baseline and strengths in order to anticipate or observe change in behavior or routines that may lead to crisis.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain collaborative working relationships with all individuals served through rapport building, engagement, consistency and shared decision making ensuring a safe and trusting working relationship.
- Is supportive, nonjudgmental and respectful in all interactions.
- Implement service plans focusing on goals, objectives and tasks in a collaborative manner.
- Ensure daily documentation is complete, accurate, meaningful and measurable.
- Develop programming for individuals geared toward skills training, education and social determinants of health.
- Develop essential therapeutic and collaborative relationships that foster engagement in services, housing stability, independence and supports the change dynamic and recovery process.
- Teach skills necessary to obtain and maintain housing while supporting independence and overall recovery.
- Support in crisis intervention with Case Manager.
- Work independently, performing position duties under general supervision.
- Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing (e.g., documentation)
- Establish and maintain ongoing supportive relationships with individuals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
This position is responsible for locations across Northern Virginia.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- High School degree or GED equivalency.
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year work experience such as working as a Direct Support Professional and comparable work experience supporting others to learn skills and implement skills learned.
- Experience providing services to individuals with SMI and I/DD diagnosis.
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to work independently and be a self-starter with a welcoming and engaging demeanor.
- Should be in good physical condition for required lifting and physical intervention for hazardous behavior and assistance with care.
