CRi is hiring a Nurse Trainer to join our Team! The Nurse Trainer is responsible for creating, developing, and facilitating various required and identified medical and health related training sessions for CRi staff. They monitor effectiveness of training and contribute the development or revision of training materials and curriculum for continued improvement, and maintains subject-matter expertise in areas of instruction.
Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday
Location: Chantilly, VA

Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide an appropriate climate for learning and facilitate the adult learning process by developing, planning, and presenting educational activities and directly or indirectly fostering the development of competence in unlicensed assistive personnel.
- Provide clinical training monthly and/or as required to include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Medication Management Training
- Medication Refresher Training
- Lifting, Transferring and Fall Prevention
- Infection Control and Universal Precautions
- BLS
- Skilled Nursing Training
- Serves as subject matter expert supporting the design and development of training programs
- Participates in nursing and/or clinical meetings to enable understanding of current issues within CRi.
- Provides tuberculosis screenings of new employees.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/ Registered Nurse (RN) with a current license in the State of Virginia.
- Current certification for/eligible to receive certification as a CPR/FA Trainer, Certified Medication Aide Instructor and TOVA Instructor.
- Excellent public presentation, demonstration and speaking skills.
- Solid computer skills, in particular PowerPoint.
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a current license in the State of Virginia.
- Curriculum development and facilitation with adult learners.
- At least five (5) years of experience providing services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses.
- Extended periods of standing, sitting, and walking.
- Ability to model correct technique for subjects taught.
- Must be able to move tables, chair, and other bulky equipment to facilitate training room set up.
- Training room at corporate headquarters and various locations throughout CRi's service areas.
- Within training setting, may provide services to adults with intellectual and physical disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses.
- Office environment, may be subject to confined work areas.
