About CRi

Community Residences, Inc. (CRi) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing personalized support and services to individuals with mental health needs and developmental disabilities. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive impactful initiatives that strengthen our programs, improve processes, and help us deliver on our mission.

Position Summary

The Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic business process improvements, program launches, and service development projects. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. The ideal candidate thrives in a mission-driven environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create sustainable solutions that advance CRi’s long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria aligned with business needs.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks; provide contingency planning to keep initiatives on track.

Resource & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams (clinical, administrative, property management, etc.) and external partners.
  • Ensure smooth launches and transitions for new programs, initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and financial resource allocation.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all projects meet CRi standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Track performance against KPIs, timelines, and budgets; address scope creep proactively.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and deliver timely status updates to leadership.

Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct post-project reviews, evaluate outcomes, and recommend process enhancements.
  • Support organizational growth through innovation, corrective action planning, and ongoing improvements.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree required; minimum of 5 years of progressive project management experience.
    • PMP certification preferred.
    • Nonprofit, healthcare, or human services sector experience is highly valued.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence at all levels.
    • Expertise in Microsoft Office 365 and project management software.
    • Strong presentation, budgeting, and reporting skills.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
    • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
    • Willingness to travel frequently within VA/DC/MD.
