Position Overview
This is a full time, seasonal position requiring overtime on some weekends and evenings. This position requires a highly organized individual who can safely, accurately and efficiently load outbound trucks to service multiple field paving crews. In addition, this person works closely with retail customers to ensure timely loading with proper materials for third party sales. The Scale Clerk also manages inbound raw materials and schedules the trucks for these activities. Production of trucking and cost reports is required.

- Operate scale system that services at an asphalt plant
- Communicate with and direct trucks in the plant yard and to construction projects
- Answer phones
- Enter payroll daily
- Load & Scale Asphalt Customer Trucks
- Scale Incoming Materials
- Process Daily Reports and Supply to Job Cost Clerk
- Daily Administrative and Office Duties
- Computer literacy is crucial with skills in Microsoft Office products a requisite.
- Heavy lifting and the ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment is required.
- Must follow all safety policies, procedures and rules
- This multi-tasking position requires exceptional attention to safety practices, detailed dispatching, and accuracy. Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Safety conscious, self-motivated, proficient communication skills, long-term career goals, exceptional work ethic
- Able to communicate professionally with customers
- Able to learn the phone system and answer phones
- Attention to detail
- Skills needed to enhance the customer experience
- Rotate between asphalt plants as needed
- Ability to work long hours, different shifts, and weekends
- $19-$21/hr
- This position requires walking, standing, bending, twisting, sitting and lifting
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs without assistance
- This position will work outdoors on a job site in extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to operate equipment under temperature extremes and for extended hours of time.
