Job Summary
National Pipe & Plastics, one of the largest PVC pipe producers in North America, is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform basic cleaning tasks, along with inspection and cleaning of heavy machinery and equipment.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping tasks: sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces, emptying garbage cans, etc.
- Keep work areas clean at all times: pick up all scrap plastic, purge baskets, banding, garbage, etc.
- Perform intense machinery cleaning: wiping down extrusion lines, degreasing of machinery if needed, changing/cleaning screens or filters, etc.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team members
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. periodically throughout the day
Job Compensation
- The hourly pay rate is $25 - $40/hr.
