Job Description

Catalyst Investment Partners (“Catalyst”) is looking to add an Investments Analyst in its New York office. Catalyst is a leading Industrial Outdoor Storage (“IOS”) focused investment manager specializing in the acquisition, management and leasing of IOS properties across the East Coast of the United States. Catalyst is investing out of a fully discretionary private equity fund and currently owns and manages over $1B of assets with a portfolio of closed and under-contract properties spanning 140 properties.

The Investments Analyst will assist in the analysis, underwriting, diligence and closing of new acquisitions for Catalyst. The Analyst will also have the ability to work in a high-energy, rapid-pace environment with tremendous responsibility, independence, and growth potential.

Primary Responsibilities

• The Analyst will focus on all aspects of new investments, financial modeling/underwriting, term sheets, due diligence, legal document review, and closings.
• Perform in-depth market research and prepare investment memos for new transactions.
• Involvement with leasing, asset management, capital projects and fund-level management.
• Assist in all facets of a rapidly growing real estate private equity firm.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or related field from a top-tier four-year college or university.
• Understanding of real estate investing.
• Strong quantitative, financial analysis and modeling skills using Excel are required.
• Exceptional organization, time management and prioritization are necessary to succeed in a fast-paced environment where the Analyst will be required to manage multiple projects with significant responsibilities and competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
• Must be able to work well in groups but also take ownership of tasks.
• A demonstrated ability to interact with external partners, brokers and investors.
• Naturally adaptive to different audiences.
• Diplomatically assertive.
• Attention to detail as well as a strong desire to grow and succeed is critical.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong sense of integrity and ethics. Values entrepreneurialism. Demonstrates strong intellectual curiosity; always seeking new approaches and challenging the organization to new levels of success.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.
