What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Helper position at Crete United?
Successful candidates must be able to assist senior techs performing a wide variety of HVAC repair/installation and maintenance tasks in the residential and commercial market. This position has potential for growth within our family-owned company. The ability to provide a high level of customer service is essential to this position. We are looking for a team player who is committed to providing excellent customer service while working in a safe, timely, and professional manner. Work includes general residential and commercial heat pump, AC condenser, furnaces, geo-thermal heating and air conditioning, air purification and ventilation.
Pay: $25-$30 Per hour DOE

Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Techs servicing air conditioning and heating systems in residential and commercial environments in accordance with current codes.
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer problems in a courteous, professional, timely, and accurate manner.
- Identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks.
- Communicate effectively with customers to answer questions, resolve problems, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Promote products and services to customer.
- Produce and maintain organized records and reports.
- Ensure company tools are being used safely, maintained properly and accounted for.
- Represent the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and activities.
- Perform other similar duties as assigned.
- Must be willing / able to work OT
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Efficient time-management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with national, state and local HVAC code regulations.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate from a trade/vocational school HVAC program or other construction-related program preferred.
- EPA Certification 608 Certification preferred
- The physical ability to work in ceilings, crawl spaces, chases and other confined work areas is also required.
