Job Summary:
Columbia Sussex Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting
Clerk to join our accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurate data
entry, assisting with account reconciliations, and performing general clerical duties to
support the daily operations of the Accounting Department.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform data entry of financial transactions into accounting systems
Assist in preparing and reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and files
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Prepare and distribute invoices, statements, and reports as needed
Provide administrative support, including filing, scanning, copying, and mailing
documents
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
Follow company policies and accounting principles to ensure compliance and
accuracy
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Accounting preferred
Experience in an accounting or clerical role is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel (Intermediate Skill Level)
Familiarity with IBM iSeries is a plus
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Office environment with standard working hours
