This role plays a critical part in supporting the firm’s valuation process across a diverse portfolio of private investments, including private credit, real estate, and other alternative asset classes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with financial modeling, an interest in private credit and other alternative asset classes in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the monthly and quarterly valuation process for private credit investments.
- Build and maintain valuation models employing a variety of methodologies and approaches.
- Gather financial and performance data from internal systems, portfolio managers, and external sources.
- Collaborate with investment teams to understand deal structures and underlying asset risks.
- Assist in drafting valuation memos and supporting documentation for valuation committee reviews.
- Coordinate with external valuation firms and auditors to facilitate reviews and respond to inquiries.
- Contribute to process improvements and support special projects within the Valuation group.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree or CFA designation is a plus.
- 2–5 years of experience in private investment valuations, professional services firm, asset management or financial institution.
- Experience in valuing debt and equity instruments, with working knowledge of valuation techniques for illiquid assets and structured instruments.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
