A Donut Baker at Cresent Donut is responsible for the late-night and early-morning mastery of preparing a wide variety of yeast-raised and cake donuts. This role requires a blend of technical baking skills, artistic flair, and physical stamina to ensure the freshest product is ready for the morning rush.
Hours are 10pm-6am*
Core Responsibilities
- Dough Preparation: Mix, scale, and knead dough according to specific recipes, ensuring proper temperature and consistency during the night shift.
- Proofing : Monitor the proofing process to ensure donuts rise correctly.
- Inventory Management: Track ingredient levels (flour, sugar, yeast, oils) and assist with ordering to minimize waste.
- Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized workstation. Strictly follow health and safety regulations regarding food handling and equipment maintenance.
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Equipment Proficiency: Safe operation of industrial mixers, dough cutters, proof boxes, and fryers.
- Time Management: The ability to juggle multiple batches of different products simultaneously to meet opening-time deadlines.
- Consistency: Ensuring every donut looks and tastes the same as the one before it.
