We are seeking a dynamic communications professional to support large-scale development projects across the country. This client-facing role plays a key part in building community support and managing reputation through strategic communications and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic communications plans, messaging, and outreach campaigns
- Lead community engagement efforts and serve as a primary liaison with local stakeholders and community leaders
- Create high-quality content across multiple channels, including press releases, talking points, presentations, digital content, and media materials
- Build and maintain relationships with local, regional, and industry media outlets
- Plan and execute public meetings, community events, and stakeholder outreach activities
- Provide communications counsel and support to project teams and senior leadership
- Monitor media coverage and support issue management as needed
- Travel regularly to support project sites, community meetings, and events (significant travel required)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Political Science, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in communications, public affairs, media relations, or community engagement
- Exceptional writing, verbal, and presentation skills
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders, community leaders, and media
- Comfortable with frequent travel, including airline travel and driving to various locations
