What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Commercial Plumbing Inside Sales position at Crescent Plumbing Supply Co.?
We're building the commercial plumbing inside sales function at Crescent Plumbing Supply from the ground up - and we need an operator who knows how to do this right.
The Opportunity
You'll lead a new inside sales team serving commercial plumbing contractors across new construction and service/repair. This isn't a lateral management job. You'll design the processes, recruit the people, build the supplier relationships, and create a competitive advantage that makes contractors call us first. Success means transforming how we serve our best customers and opening new market segments we haven't penetrated.
What We Need
- 10 years in commercial plumbing distribution (or contracting/manufacturing with deep distributor relationships)
- Eclipse software experience required - you've lived inside takeoffs, quoting, project tracking, and inventory in that system
- Demonstrated success with commercial new construction (estimating, specifications, submittals, project management)
- Real expertise in commercial service/repair channels—you know flush valve parts and emergency sourcing
- Proven ability to recruit and develop high-performing salespeople
- Strong relationships with commercial plumbing contractors and/or manufacturers
- Track record of building processes that improve quote speed, accuracy, and margins
This is not an entry-level leadership role. We're looking for someone who has already built or managed a commercial inside sales operation and knows what separates excellent from average.
