The Group Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by selling guest rooms, meeting spaces, and hotel services to corporate, group, leisure, and event clients. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase room revenue, group bookings, and event sales
- Identify, prospect, and secure new corporate, group, and leisure accounts
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients through regular communication and site visits
- Prepare and negotiate contracts, rates, and proposals in line with hotel policies
- Conduct hotel tours for prospective clients and evendt planners
- Collaborate with marketing, revenue management, and operations teams to align sales efforts
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies
- Achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales targets
- Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry functions as required
- Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and reports using CRM and PMS systems
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in hotel sales, hospitality sales, or a related role
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- 2 years prior sales experience
- Excellent relationship-building and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts simultaneously
- Proficiency in sales systems, hotel PMS, and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of local market dynamics and hospitality trends
