Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and health histories.
- Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic health conditions.
- Perform procedures such as venipuncture, catheterization, and cardiac catheterization as needed.
- Provide triage services to prioritize patient care based on urgency.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and medication management.
- Monitor vital signs and interpret diagnostic tests to inform clinical decisions.
- Stay informed about workers' compensation law as it pertains to patient care.
- Participate in critical care situations when necessary, utilizing basic life support skills.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
- Valid state nursing license with prescriptive authority.
- Experience in emergency room (ER) settings or critical care preferred.
- Proficiency in performing basic life support (BLS) techniques.
- Knowledge of gastroenterology practices is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
