Lead Lease Operator, Sr.

We are seeking a Senior Lead Lease Operator in our STW asset. You will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining oil and gas production and lease expenses while developing increasing understanding of lease issues. Under general supervision, you will prepare, maintain, and submit daily reports and records of daily gas and/or liquid volume, well pressure and volume of chemicals used, etc.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Commit to HSE&R in all activities.
• Perform operational checks of assigned wells, equipment, and plant facilities.
• Conduct production tests and perform minor repairs.
• Witness gauging and tests, ensuring accuracy of run tickets as required.
• Represent the company in delivery/receipt of materials and equipment.
• Maintain regulatory, environmental and safety compliance in conjunction with and through close coordination with the Operations Engineers, Superintendents, Foremen, and Environmental, Health and Safety Department
• Secure and maintain all company equipment, including but not limited to computers, vehicles, and analysis or test equipment.
• Possess the right and obligation to stop work if unsafe conditions exist or are suspected.
• Provide field wide contact with all personnel in the event of emergency or other significant occurrences.
• Maintain facilities painting, general upkeep, vegetation control, road maintenance etc.
• Maintain positive relationship with local, state, and Federal representatives and surface owners.
• Train newly hired and/or less experienced lease operators.
• Maximize profitability of assigned wells.
• Strong understanding of all artificial lift types.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lawfully drive a Company vehicle.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum:

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
  
  

Certifications (optional But Beneficial):

• H2S Safety Training
• Well Control Certification (e.g. IADC or IWCF)
• First Aid/CPR
• OSHA Safety Training
• Supervisory or Leadership Training
  
  

Minimum:

Experience Requirements:

• 3 years of direct experience in oil & gas production operations (e.g. well operations, production equipment, artificial lift systems, etc.)
• Managing daily field operations
• Working with SCADA and production data systems
• Overseeing contractors and service companies
• Maintenance scheduling
  
  

Work Environment Experience:

• Remote field locations
• Harsh weather conditions
• 24/7 operations or on-call rotations
• Safety-sensitive environments
