Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Audio Video Technician to join our growing team.
Pay Range
$28.00–$36.00 per hour, based on history and experience.
What You'll Do:
- Install speakers, televisions, touch panels, keypads, projectors, home theaters, distributed audio, and distributed video systems
- Pull, terminate, and label low-voltage cabling
- Assemble, load, and wire equipment racks
- Install and set up lighting control systems (Lutron), motorized shades, and fixtures
- Install and configure home networks and Wi-Fi systems
- Troubleshoot basic issues with equipment and wiring
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Work in attics, crawl spaces, mechanical rooms, and outdoor environments
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in this industry at a similar audio, video, and systems integration company
- Experience with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to work on ladders and in tight spaces (attics, crawl spaces)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Experience on construction sites and knowledge of job-site safety
- Valid and clean NYS driver’s license
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to commute to Westhampton Beach, NY, daily
- Willingness to work in NYC when assigned
Preferred Experience:
- Experience installing home automation equipment such as Control4, Crestron, and Savant
- Experience installing Lutron lighting control systems and motorized shades
- Experience with high-end component brands such as Sonance, James Loudspeaker, Wisdom Audio, Steinway-Lyngdorf, C-Seed, Bang & Olufsen, B&W, JL Audio, MadVR, Ruckus Networks, etc.
- Programming experience is not required
