Automation Engineer IV (Network Test Automation)
Menlo Park, CA (Onsite)
Team is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to expand network test automation and CI/CD coverage for next-generation datacenter networking technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and automate end-to-end network test cases for routing, switching, optics, and datacenter fabric solutions.
- Build and execute traffic-generation tests using Ixia/Keysight in lab environments.
- Convert manual test plans into automated CI/CD validation pipelines.
- Troubleshoot test failures, perform root cause analysis, and support release qualification.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to improve automation, test coverage, and lab infrastructure.
Required Skills:
- 5–8 years of experience in Network Test Automation, QA Engineering, or Network Validation.
- Strong Python scripting and automation experience.
- Hands-on knowledge of BGP, Routing, Switching, L2/L3 networking, Data Plane and Control Plane concepts.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Linux environments, and source control systems.
- Experience with Ixia, Keysight, or similar traffic generators.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to Open/R, ECMP/UCMP, Datacenter Fabrics, or large-scale networking environments.
- Experience validating network hardware, optics, or vendor NOS platforms (Arista EOS, etc.).
- Knowledge of lab automation, device provisioning, and performance/scale testing.
