Occupational Therapist - Contractor

Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing evaluations pursuant to physician’s orders, payer authorizations and agency guidelines.
• Responsible to develop treatment plans and provide treatment, consistent with benefit and reimbursement level for best functional outcome for patient.
• Responsible to appropriately and effectively complete documentation including evaluations, progress notes, weekly summaries, or monthly reports.
• Responsible for maintaining current state licenses and certification as required by appropriate state laws and rules.
• Responsible to achieve quality patient care through interdisciplinary communication.
• Responsible for notifying HR of any license or certification suspension or termination within 24 hours.
• Responsible for maintaining Medicaid provider number.
• Maintain the clinical records system in accordance with Medicaid and CREOKS rules and regulations.
• To read and be knowledgeable of all current CREOKS policies and procedures.
• Responsible for understanding and following all of the administrative, clinical, and programmatic policies and procedures of the agency.
• All other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications/Competencies Required:

• Graduate of an approved curriculum in Occupational Therapy for the state of Oklahoma.
• Must be Licensed or License-eligible with Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure & Supervision (OBMLS).
• Possess accurate assessment and referral skills.
• Possess the ability to provide appropriate treatment interventions relative to the specific needs of each person served.
• Basic understanding of social and cultural factors influencing human behavior.
• Knowledge of various treatment modalities as well as a basic understanding of the impact of physical health on overall wellbeing.
• Capability to work as part of a team.
• Core competencies in relation to individuals with co-occurring disorders
• Experience working in integrated care facilities preferred.
• Able to provide culturally competent treatment.
• Clinical documentation must meet CREOKS, state, and National standards.
• Conceptual grasp of community based mental health and substance abuse services.
