We are currently seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time, school-based position serving students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist identifies developmental delays, physical limitations, sensory-motor challenges, and functional deficits that may impact a student's ability to participate in educational activities. The OT evaluates student needs and develops individualized intervention plans designed to support educational access, independence, and overall student success.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate students for physical limitations, developmental delays, sensory-motor dysfunction, perceptual-motor abilities, self-help skills, functional living skills, and adaptive equipment needs.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy programs based on evaluation findings and student goals.
• Interpret assessment results and recommendations to parents, teachers, students, and other members of the educational team.
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop strategies that promote student participation and achievement within the school environment.
• Provide training and consultation to educational staff regarding therapy goals, accommodations, and interventions.
• Recommend, adapt, or fabricate equipment to support activities of daily living (ADLs), communication needs, classroom access, and individualized seating requirements.
• Monitor the use and effectiveness of prosthetics, orthotics, and other adaptive devices.
• Develop home programs and provide caregiver education when appropriate.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Attend district meetings, professional development activities, conferences, and workshops to maintain current clinical knowledge and best practices.
• Assist with mentoring and orientation of new staff members as needed.

Qualifications

Education

• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program; OR
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy with at least ten years of progressive professional experience.

Licensure

• Current and active Occupational Therapy license in the state of practice.

Preferred Experience

• Previous pediatric and/or school-based Occupational Therapy experience.
• Knowledge of special education processes, IEPs, and educational service delivery models.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
