Floater- Shop and field helper

We are seeking a proactive and versatile Floater/Shop and Field Helper to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will provide essential support across multiple job sites and shop operations, ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently. Your energetic approach will help facilitate daily tasks, assist skilled tradespeople, and maintain a safe, organized work environment. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain both construction and fabrication experience while contributing to diverse projects in a fast-paced setting.

• Support skilled tradespeople with tools, materials, and equipment setup and breakdown.
• Removing old stairs, cleaning work areas, and ensuring tools and materials are organized.
• Managing and maintaining hand and power tools, ensuring they are functional and available.
• Operate hand tools and power tools as needed under supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area and job sites to promote safety and efficiency.
• Assist in material fabrication, and other specialty tasks as required.
• Loading, unloading, and transporting heavy wood or metal materials and finished stair components.
• Assisting with the delivery and installation of staircases at construction sites.

• Proficiency in using hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced construction environments.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members on-site and in the shop.
• Following instructions from lead installers and collaborating effectively.
• Willingness to learn new skills such as fabrication techniques.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
