Appliance Install Driver

Position Overview:

The Appliance Install Driver plays a key role in ensuring efficient operations and exceptional customer satisfaction by safely transporting, loading, and unloading appliances and materials. This position requires the ability to lift up to 100 pounds and move large appliances using equipment such as shoulder dollies, forearm straps, and other approved tools, often delivering into residential homes and upstairs.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery & Transportation

• Load, deliver, and unload appliances and materials, ensuring safe handling and placement in customer homes, including upstairs when required.
• Prepare truck for operation by assisting with loading, securing items, and verifying shipping documentation.
• Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, and related components to ensure safe operation and preventive maintenance.
• Deliver orders using the most efficient routes to meet customer needs and company schedules.
• Maintain communication with the company during deliveries for updated instructions.
• Document delivery accuracy, obtain customer receipts/signatures, and report discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain and monitor truck maintenance, driving record, and required compliance documents.
• Uphold a safe driving record free of violations.

Customer Interaction

• Safely move and place large appliances using shoulder dollies, forearm straps, and other handling equipment while protecting customer property.
• Communicate positively and professionally with supervisors, team members, and customers.
• Present a neat, clean, and professional image at all times.
• Follow all established company policies, safety guidelines, and maintain a drug-free workplace.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 100 pounds.
• Frequent bending, standing, climbing stairs, and handling of large appliances.
• Use of equipment such as shoulder dollies, forearm straps, and hand trucks for safe delivery.
