Summary:
This position supports Creek Price Edwards commercial property accounting operations by maintaining accurate financial records, processing property-related transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing timely reports for management and ownership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

- Accounting operations: Record cash receipts, vendor invoices, payroll entries, bank transactions, accounts receivable, and accounts payable using accrual accounting methods.
- Journal entries and general ledger: Calculate and post adjusting journal entries for accrued expenses, unearned revenue, prepaid assets, depreciation, and other property-related transactions.
- Reconciliations: Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Reporting: Compile monthly financial reports for owners and management, including cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other property operating data.
- Systems and documentation: Use Yardi and Microsoft Excel to verify, allocate, and post transaction details from invoices, receipts, check stubs, reports, and other source documents.
- Compliance and audit support: Apply GAAP and standard accounting principles to classify transactions, maintain audit trails, and support accurate property-level financial records.
- Safety and training: Complete and pass all required safety training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business, correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Knowledge of standard accounting principles.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Yardi commercial real estate accounting experience required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite required.
Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage high-volume financial data required.
