Summary
Creed Monarch is seeking a full-time Screw Machine Setup Lead technician who will be responsible for setting up multi-spindle cam-driven screw machines. This includes understanding and interpreting part drawings, tooling selection, machine layout, and ultimately optimizing production processes. This candidate must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Communication skills and the ability to provide technical support to various employees and technicians are required.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for set up & troubleshooting of all machines.
- Adjust the machine to produce parts in conformance with blueprints drawings & quality standards.
- Perform tooling installation & adjustments: cams, gears, threading, Reaming, Rotary Broaching, Recess, Shaving, Form, Cutoff, etc.
- Ability to assist in training others on the operation and setup of screw machines.
- Troubleshoot production issues.
- Evaluate new parts - determine feasibility and provide cycle time estimates.
- Work with Engineering, Quality, and Production to develop work instructions and control plans.
- Manage time effectively and be able to work independently to solve problems.
Qualification Requirements
- Cam-driven multi-spindle (such as Davenport, Gridley, Gildemeister GM16 / GM20, Schutte, Tornos, ZPS/Euroturn) setups and experience is required.
- Reading and interpreting part drawings with a strong understanding of GD&T.
- 5 years of experience required in a production manufacturing setting as an operator or setup technician.
- Mechanically inclined – The individual needs to be experienced with tools and machinery and can adapt quickly to fix things both familiar and unfamiliar.
- Perform standard math – Individual needs to be able to perform standard math to effectively make machine adjustments.
- Reasoning ability – Ability to think, reflect, and make decisions to overcome obstacles.
- Familiarity with measuring tools. (Calipers, Micrometers, Gages, etc.)
Salary may vary based on experience.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 per week
