Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments by stocking and organizing operating rooms with appropriate instruments, supplies, and linens.
- Assist surgeons during procedures using proper sterile techniques and handling of instruments.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including site cleaning, disinfection, and emotional support.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs.
- Collaborate with surgical and post-anesthesia care teams to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.
- Accurately document patient records, vital signs, medications, and procedural updates.
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in perioperative nursing or in an OR environment.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CNOR certification preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in sterile techniques, surgical instrumentation, patient safety, and critical thinking in high-pressure environments.
- Documentation: Must provide all necessary compliance and credentialing documentation for clinical assignment.
