Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
- Prepare operating rooms by ensuring availability and proper setup of sterile surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist surgeons during procedures, maintaining strict adherence to sterile technique and best practices.
- Clean and disinfect operative areas as part of pre-surgical patient preparation.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for surgical patients, adapting to changes in condition as needed.
- Collaborate closely with the surgical team, including anesthesiologists and surgical techs, to ensure safe and effective procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including surgical documentation and medication administration.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards throughout the surgical process.
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience
- BLS and ACLS certification (required)
- Strong knowledge of sterile field protocols, surgical procedures, and patient safety standards
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Perioperative nursing
- Surgical assistance
- Aseptic technique
- Patient preparation and monitoring
