The Job at a Glance
The Technical Deployment Specialist – Merger Support plays a critical role in ensuring seamless technology transitions during mergers and acquisitions. The Technical Deployment Specialist is responsible for planning, executing, and supporting IT deployments before, during, and after a merger. They require deep technical expertise, strong coordination skills, and the ability to deliver system integration with minimal disruption to business operations. The Technical Deployment Specialist promotes CU1’s core values of Be Great, Be Engaged, Be Open, Be Nice.
A Typical Day
- Conduct technical assessments of systems, applications, and infrastructure between merging organizations.
- Document existing environments and identify gaps, risks, and integration opportunities.
- Participate in IT due diligence, providing input on compatibility, scalability, and security considerations.
- Develop detailed deployment and migration plans, including fallback and contingency strategies.
- Deploy and configure systems to support unified business operations across merged environments.
- Manage user migrations, including accounts, permissions, and email systems (e.g., Microsoft 365, Active Directory, VPNs).
- Oversee network, firewall, and security policy alignments to ensure compliance and continuity.
- Coordinate with project managers, business stakeholders, and vendors to align technical deployment activities with the merger timeline.
- Provide technical support during the stabilization period post-merger, resolving deployment and integration issues.
- Ensure smooth adoption of unified platforms, applications, and communication tools.
- Maintain system documentation and update standard operating procedures to reflect the merged environment.
- Deliver training and guidance to end-users and IT support teams on new systems and processes.
What We Look For
- 4 years of experience in IT deployment, migrations, or infrastructure support, with direct involvement in merger or acquisition projects preferred.
- Strong background in Microsoft 365, Windows Server, networking, security.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. for equipment setup and deployment.
- Travel requirement is approximately 75%, including site visits during merger activities.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to support critical deployment timelines.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Must remain focused and organized during complex technical transitions.
Salary : $64,419 - $80,523
