The Opportunity:
As a Wildlife Technician for Creature Control LLC, you will have the chance to work your way to higher pay while also doing a job any sportsman or hands-on problem solver would love. Your salary will start at a competitive $45,000 annually but after 3 months of training can quickly grow to $52,000. Within the first 2-3 years, many of our technicians often reach $60,000 per year with opportunities for further salary growth based on performance and job volume. As part of a growing company you will also be able to develop your career by becoming a Territory or Regional manager.
Additional opportunities for compensation such as taking emergency situation calls and working weekends are also available. Further, our technicians are outfitted by the company with tools and uniforms so that you don't have to buy your own supplies. We also provide each trained technician a work truck, meaning less wear and tear on your personal vehicle and your commute is covered. Dental and vision insurance is supplied.
What you'll do:
You'll spend your days journeying to customer homes investigating nuisance wildlife and pest incidents, coming up with solutions, and communicating to customers how Creature Control can help. Each day you will do the following:
Investigating properties for signs of animal entry by examining the exterior of homes, climbing on roofs, and crawling through attic spaces.
Designing custom solutions for each home and generating estimates using our proprietary software
Bringing customers peace of mind by clearly explaining the scope of the problem and the value of our services
Solving smaller issues that day through setting traps for wildlife, picking up trapped animals, performing minor exclusion work
Following up with previous quotes and estimates to ensure our customers have the greatest experience possible
Communicating with the rest of the Creature Control team including the front office and exclusion teams in a clear, professional way.
Must haves:
- Ability to work at heights and with ladders
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Dependability, honesty, integrity
Nice to haves:
- Previous experience with wildlife - hunting, fishing, trapping
- Previous experience with sales
- Light construction experience
Details:
Full time position working Monday-Friday. Occasional weekend work available for extra pay. Shop located in Gregory, MI working in Livingston, Ingham, Washtenaw, Jackson and Oakland counties.
