Position Summary
As a Diesel Mechanic at CMC, you’ll maintain and repair diesel-powered trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment used across our job sites. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our fleet is safe, reliable, and compliant, playing a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on diesel vehicles and equipment

Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues

Conduct DOT inspections and ensure fleet compliance

Maintain clear and accurate service and repair records

Ensure a clean, safe, and organized workspace

Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate vehicle readiness
Qualifications
-
Minimum 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic (construction fleet preferred)

Working knowledge of diesel engines, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems

CDL and/or ASE certifications preferred but not required

Ability to read manuals and interpret schematics

Dependable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
