Role Description
Creative Kids Movement Network is seeking energetic, dependable, and engaging Lead & Assistant Lead Movement Instructors to teach enrichment classes for young children across the South Denver area. Our programs help children develop confidence, coordination, strength, and a lifelong love of movement through fun, structured activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children, values movement and wellness, and wants a flexible schedule during school hours.
This is a part-time, on-site role for an Instructor located in South Denver. The Instructor will lead onsite engaging and age-appropriate Dance, Yoga, and Fitness sessions for children at various daycare and school locations. Responsibilities include leading and co-teaching classes, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment, maintaining active communication with company owners and facility staff, and adapting provided curriculum and lesson plan activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
Qualifications
- Background in dance, fitness, athletics, yoga, early childhood education, or related fields
- High energy and a positive, encouraging personality
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to lead physical activity classes confidently
- Experience working with young children (ages 2–10)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff
- Able to create a positive, encouraging, and energetic classroom environment
- Manage groups of up to 12–15 young children safely and effectively
- Set up and clean up provided class equipment
- Track attendance and provide brief class updates when needed
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to organize and adapt company provided lesson plans as needed
- Passion for working with children and fostering their creativity and physical development
- First Aid and CPR certification (Required)
- Ability to work on-site in South Denver with reliable transportation
- 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent required; a degree and/or certifications in education, physical education, or a related field is a plus
Preferred but not required
- Teaching experience
- Group fitness or yoga certification
- Early childhood education experience
Schedule
- Weekday daytime hours (generally 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Classes are typically 30–45 minutes each
- Flexible scheduling depending on school locations
Compensation
- $20–$60 per class depending on experience, program, and Assistant/Lead status
- Paid training and curriculum provided
- Opportunities to lead additional classes and programs
