A Landscape Maintenance Crew Lead directs a 2 person team. Responsibilities include supervising daily routes, performing hands-on landscaping, ensuring safety while maintaining equipment. They serve as the main point of contact between the crew, job site maintenance and the company managers.
Core Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Training
- Manage and motivate a crew of 2 field technicians to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to the standards of the company.
- Train new hires on proper landscaping techniques, safety and our standards of work performed.
- Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback to foster growth and improvement.
Landscape Operations
- Execute daily routes and specific landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, weeding, edging, pruning and/or seasonal clean-ups, plus extras specified by client requests.
- Operate and oversee the safe use of our power equipment (e.g., mowers, blowers, trimmers, edgers) and commercial vehicles.
- Inspect sites proactively to identify landscape issues, meaning areas of concern and potential to execute necessary treatments.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2years of landscape maintenance experience, with proven supervisory or foreman experience.
- Equipment Proficiency: Thorough knowledge and safe operation of all standard landscaping hand and power tools.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50–70 lbs regularly and work outdoors in varying weather and temperature extremes.
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Soft Skills: Proficient problem-solving, time-management, and communication skills.
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
