Staff Accountant
We are seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to join our collaborative team at a well-established, member-oriented financial institution in Wethersfield. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in financial operations and reporting while working in a positive and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile daily activity to the general ledger.
- Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end close.
- Process accounts payable and IRS reporting.
- Assist with financial reporting and audit preparation.
- E nsure compliance with internal policies and GAAP standards.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of hands-on experience in accounting, preferably with exposure to assisting with the ME and AP process.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
