We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience processing payroll for medium-sized companies and possess a general understanding of taxes, garnishments, reporting, compliance, and payroll labor laws.
About the Role:
- Process payroll for 2,000 employees across Middleville and Niles.
- Handle hourly and salary payroll, including weekly and bi-weekly cycles.
- Work with union and non-union employees, ensuring compliance with CBAs.
- Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
- Process payroll for 2,000 employees.
- Handle hourly and salary payroll.
- Work with union and non-union employees.
- Calculate wages and deductions.
- Maintain compliance with payroll laws.
Data Entry & Compliance:
- Maintain employee records in UKG Pro.
- Ensure payroll compliance and accuracy.
Record Keeping & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate payroll records.
Employee Support:
- Assist employees with payroll-related questions.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Prior payroll processing experience for a medium-sized company.
- General understanding of taxes and payroll laws.
- Experience with HRIS systems.
- Proficiency in Outlook and Excel.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with UKG Pro or Kronos.
- Multi-state payroll processing experience.
