Key Responsibilities of the HR Generalist:
As an HR Generalist, you will:
- Process payroll accurately on a weekly basis and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws.
- Maintain payroll and personnel records and prepare related reports.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
- Serve as the primary contact for employee benefit questions and enrollment.
- Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to staff and management.
- Assist in employee relations and conflict resolution with fairness and professionalism.
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, and new hire orientation.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain organized, confidential personnel files and records.
- Support HR programs, including performance management, employee engagement, and training initiatives.
- Partner with leadership to improve HR processes and promote company culture.
Qualifications for the HR Generalist Role:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in HR administration.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Hands-on experience with payroll and benefits administration.
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR compliance.
- Experience using HRIS and payroll systems such as ADP, BambooHR, or similar.
Preferred:
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).
- Experience supporting both office and field employees in an HR Generalist capacity.
