This individual will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Analyzes financial statements to ensure accuracy and adherence to GAAP.
- Assists in the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Supports internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Enhances internal accounting processes and strengthens financial controls.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align financial operations with business goals.
- Provides mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, (CPA or CMA designation preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a mid-to-large organization.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards..
