We are actively seeking an Event Manager for our Palm Beach office.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Event Director, the Event Manager will provide support with planning, organizing, and executing catered events from conception to completion. The Event Manager will also assist with sales meetings and proposals.
What you’ll do:
- Partner with the Event Director to plan and execute catered events, ensuring all logistics, timelines, and budgets align with client expectations and company standards.
- Logistics: Manage all event logistics, including food & beverage coordination, rentals, design elements, staffing, transportation, setup, and teardown.
- Collaborate with Culinary, Operations, Design, Warehouse, and Sales teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment across departments.
- Support budget management for food & beverage, rentals, décor, and staffing, ensuring profitability and accuracy in event costing.
- Maintain proficiency in required software systems (FileMaker, MotionAI, PowerPoint, and other internal tools) to manage timelines, budgets, and reports.
- Knowledge Base: Stay current with industry trends and maintain awareness of the competitive event landscape.
- Lead on-site event execution: troubleshoot in real time, and uphold Creative Edge Parties’ commitment to service excellence.
- Assist Event Director with creating long term sales funnel and with meet short term targets
What you’ll bring to the table:
- College degree
- 2–5 years of experience in catering event production, or hospitality, preferably in a high-volume or luxury catering environment. Sales experience a plus!
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a high attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of catering logistics, event design, and vendor coordination.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and event management tools such as Prismm and Filemaker.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods during event production.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. for event setup.
- Comfort working long hours, including evenings and weekends, during peak event seasons, including holidays if necessary.
