Service Supervisor (evenings, weekends) - Central Christian

Creative Dining Services at Central Christian College of Kansas in McPherson, KS is looking for a Service Supervisor to join us in providing high quality food and excellent service to the CCCK students and community! This role will help to ensure that daily food service in the campus dining facility is set up, garnished and organized on time for meal service, as well as helping to make sure proper portion control techniques are utilized, and fresh items are rotated in throughout service. As the Service Supervisor, you may direct other kitchen personnel, including full-time, part-time, college, and high school student employees. 

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide service to the customers in a positive, friendly, helpful manner
  

• Communicates to all production staff and front of the house staff any problems

• Train new service employees according to prescribed training schedule & proper portion control

• Assist the Service Manager with all aspects of service

• Assist with special events and catering events as assigned - may include decorating, making signage

• Practice good hygiene and grooming. This includes taking care of your uniform.

• Follow company, state and federal guidelines and standards regarding safety and sanitation.

• All other duties as assigned by management

Pay: $15-17/hour, determined on evaluation

Availability: Wednesday-Sunday 10:30am to 7:00pm

Physical Demands/Work Environment

The Service Supervisor position involves physical work in a commercial kitchen environment. Responsibilities include moving inventory, product, carts, tables, etc. as well as using kitchen utensils and commercial kitchen equipment. Environment may include hot, humid, or cold temperatures. May require extended working hours at times. Must be able to lift/move 25 lbs.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Two year minimum experience in food service, front of house supervision preferred specifically

• High school diploma, secondary education helpful

• Ability to deal with stress and pressure

• Basic Computer Knowledge
