Role Overview: The General Food Service Worker performs a wide range of duties involved with preparing and/or serving food and beverages in one or more of a variety of food service environments. May assist in set up and service; and collection of garbage/trash; as appropriate to the area of operation. May serve food to customers and/or perform cashiering duties, as appropriate.  

Core Responsibilities:  

• Hospitality Support:Interacts with guests and customers at events with professionalism, service, and grace, upholding the customer service expectations of CDS and the client/account.
• Kitchen Support: Sets up food service, kitchen, or salad area facilities, equipment, and utensils, under detailed instruction,in accordance with specific area needs; checks food temperatures and/or prepares areas for daily operations; may operate cooking or bakery equipment as assigned.
• Maintain Cleanliness:May clean andmaintainwork areas, including floors, facilities, dishes, utensils, and equipment; collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers; asappropriate tothe area of operation.Washes pots, pans, and other service ware, ensuring sanitary handling; organizes and replaces service ware to appropriate locations.

Qualifications:  

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of Culinary/ Hospitality Experience 

Work Schedule: 

• Shift: 1st Shift Periods [Monday – Friday, Weekend Seasonal Concessions]
• Hours: 30-40Weekly Hours

• Anticipated Annual Operating Schedule: 30-42 Weeks. College semesters; August – December; January – May)
• Pay Range: $14.00 - $15.50 per hour
